Today in Children's Ministry class we had to put on short skits that we might use in a Sunday School class. It was pretty simple but fun. I was thrown in last minute since I missed class last week. I only had one line so it wasn't a problem for me. BUT it made me remember trying out for "The Wizard of Oz" in High School....
I got up on the stage, had music in my hand and was ready to sing "If I only had a Brain." The piano started to play and I was excited to belt out the song. Unfortunately, the only words that came out of my mouth were "I could while away the hours...." and then I froze. The piano kept playing and I just stood there for what seemed like forever. The director then told me that I didn't have to do anymore and asked me to get off the stage. Honestly, I wasn't upset. I wasn't looking to be a lead but just get in the play. I ended up being one of the featured dancers, as I expected to be.
